Healing for A Time By Pastor Cher Wandell   “I believe I receive,” would be the shouts of healing that were heard in the healing service.  People would come forward and fall out under the anointing power of God.  They would be healed…for a time that is.   Recently I was preaching at a healing service.  The Word of God on healing was presented and the Holy Spirit moved in the service greatly.  People young and old came forward for healing and received it, as I would lay hands on them.  We gave God all the glory for the manifestation.   I have seen many people get healed during a healing service and the next time I saw them they were talking about the pain and symptoms again.  They walked out of their healing and believed the symptoms over the Word of God they heard.   Pain and symptoms are real; no one ever said they weren`t.  But we must believe God`s Word over the lies of the devil in order to stay healed.  When symptoms try to arise again for something you have believed God healed you of, stand on the Word and let it take root in your body.  Your healing will return.   The Bible tells us that out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.  What is in your heart?  Sickness or healing?  Which do you believe in more…the sickness or God`s Word on healing?   “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth hat which is good;  an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth that which is evil;  for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.”  (Luke 6:45)   A certain lady that was healed in a service didn`t practice the Word spoken over her.  She practiced speaking what she felt, so that is what was in her heart, and it eventually came out of her mouth.   The symptoms, pain and agony are real; God knew we would experience these things in the flesh.  He made sure that all sickness and disease could be (was and were) healed when He (Jesus) took the sickness of the world on His very own body on the cross.  God always is ahead of man and He certainly is ahead of the devil.  There is no trap of the devil that God wasn`t aware of, and that He didn`t conquer.   It is important that you realize that the devil also knows these things.  He knows the pain is real because he is the author of sickness and disease.  It is his plan to get as much of it in the world as possible.  If we lay claim to the lies of the devil whose sole (actually getting a soul) purpose is to kill, steal and destroy you through sickness and disease, then we leave no room for God to work.  God cannot occupy the same space as satan.  Either we Believe in God or we don`t!     Healing isn`t just for a time.  God intended and still wants us healed.  When pain is apparent in your life, remember (God) Jesus took that pain from you on the cross.  Do you want it back?   Call out to Him and thank Him for taking all your sickness away now and forever.  Call out the Word and not the pain.  Your healing will come if you Believe in God`s Word over the symptoms or pain.  Healing doesn`t have to be for a time, but for now and forever.  Confess the Word and stand on your healing.  Hold fast to your confession, and don`t let anyone, especially the devil steal what is yours.

Faith to Be Healed by Pastor Cher Wadnell   It is a sad thing to witness an individual going from healing to healing meeting asking God for deliverance, and they never receive their healing.  Why is it sad?  It is sad because their lack of belief is what is keeping their healing from manifesting.  It is a head belief and not a heart knowing that God is a healer.   We often think we have faith for healing, but as soon as a symptom arises, we go right back into doubting.  Doubting is unbelief and it will stop your healing.  The Word of God tells us that when doubt and unbelief sets into our thinking, it will hinder our prayers.  If doubt enters, God cannot.   “But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering (not doubting in any form); for he that wavers is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.  For let not that man think he will receive anything of the Lord.” (James 1:6-7)   Wavering is doubt, and doubt means to waver or go off what you believed God will do for you.  If your faith to be healed is shaky, the reason it is unstable is because there is a lack of Word.  Faith to be healed comes from a shortage of hearing the Word of God go into your ears and into your heart.   “There was a man in Lystra who needed healing.  Paul recognized that he had faith because he received and believed the Word of God being taught.”  (Acts 14:8-9)   The man Paul referred to received healing because faith came by his hearing the Word of God taught and preached.  It stirred his faith to believe.   I have seen people get healing during a healing service and the next time I see them, they are still talking about their pain.  They walked out of their healing because of the words they were speaking.  They were words of unbelief and doubt.  They believed in the symptoms and not the Word of God they heard, so the symptoms won out over the Word of God preached.   God will heal those who have faith for it.  If you need healing, stop seeking man`s opinion.  Seek God`s promise and His Word, so that you will have the faith to be healed.   “And there sat a certain man at Lystra, lame in his feet, being a cripple from birth, who had never walked.  He had heard Paul preach when Paul noticed him and saw that he had faith to be healed, and with a loud voice Paul called out to the man, “Stand up on your feet.”  The man  sprang up and walked.”  (Acts 14:8-10)

When Healing Doesn't Come by Pastor Cher Wandell   Have you ever known someone who prayed for healing and even had gone to healing meetings, but still weren`t healed?  We have had sick people come to meetings and leave sick.  Then there were some who came for healing and were healed.  One might begin to question if God is choosing to heal some and not all.  Since we know God is not a respecter of persons, we have to approach the issue as a lack of understanding on our part.   There has been much said on laying on of hands with oil.  The laying on of hands and the anointing oil do not heal a person, but rather they are symbols or points of contact that we use to release our faith that God will perform His Word in the situation.   The gifts of the Spirit, the gifts of healing in particular are another way in which God heals.  However, these gifts are only given when the Holy Spirit is present and allowed to work within the people.  These gifts cannot be worked up by themselves, but are manifested supernaturally by the Holy Spirit through an individual (often a preacher or minister of the gospel).   Many times new believers are healed on their new child-like faith.  When they get sick again, they expect the same thing to happen.  It doesn`t always happen the same way, because our faith levels are increasing and being tried more and more.  Your faith to believe God for more is increasing.  Supernatural healing draws the unsaved to God, while the believer has to step up in faith and believe God at His Word for healing.  Our faith is in the Word and believing God at His Word.  We don`t need miracles to believe He will perform what He has said in His Word, because we have already experienced it and know He does what He says He will do.  God`s Word is truth to the believer and doesn`t need to be proven.   In Jesus` ministry, He couldn`t heal people who didn`t have faith in His Word that He could do it.  He wanted to heal them, but unbelief kept the people sick.  Even the power of God on anointed hands won`t heal people who won`t believe.   “And He did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.” (Matthew 13:58)   We have to believe in our covenant with God and His promises to heal us.  No one else`s faith will do it for you.  It is a personal thing.  Jesus made sure of that on the cross when He personally took all your sicknesses and diseases on Himself as stated in Isaiah 53:5 and 1 Peter 2:24.   In recent healing meetings I anointed many people with oil.  We joined our faith together and people received healing.  There were others who didn`t get healed, because they were relying on my faith to heal them.  Jesus said, “Your faith has made you whole.” (Ex. Matt. 9:22) When you believe God`s Word, you will be healed.   Miracles happen when the Word of God is heard when preaching or teaching has occurred.  It`s believing and then acting on the Word that causes healing to be manifested.  Believe this word being taught, because it is God`s will and desire that you be healed.     (*New Century Version Youth Bible)

Healing Is for Today by Cher Wandell   Have you ever asked, "Does God really heal?"  The answer is good news from Jesus, "Yes!"  Many people don't know that it is God's desire that His people are healed.   How do we know it is His will and desire for us to be healed?  His Word tells us so, and it was part of Jesus' ministry to heal the sick.  Jesus wouldn't waste time doing something that wasn't in God's plan or God's desire.     1.  Pray, Believe in Faith   If you are in need of physical healing, believe God that He will heal you when you pray.  The Word of God tells us that it is our faith in His ability, His willingness and His desire to heal us that will manifest into our being healed.   We have to believe Him and His Word by faith when we pray in order to receive the healing we desire.  Without believing in faith when we pray, we will not be healed.  Can you believe God and His Word right now?  Are your prayers faith prayers?   "And the prayer of faith shall save the sick; and the Lord shall raise him up..." James 5:15a   If you are having any doubt or fear, well, you might as well not pray at all.  That doesn't sound very nice I know, but God said it, not me.  If we doubt God said we won't get our prayers answered.  It's not that He won't answer them, He cannot answer them.   The book of James points out what doubt and unbelief gets believers.     "But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering (no doubt or unbelief).  For he that wavers is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed (he lets sight effect his believing).  Don't let that man think that he will receive any thing of the Lord.  A double-minded (unbelieving, fearful) man is unstable is all he does." James 1:6-8   We want to think that we are believing God, but if we are to be truthful with ourselves and go by what God says...we're having trouble believing God when all the signs of sickness and disease are staring us in the face.  MRI's, blood tests and X-rays are hard to fight against in the natural.  What person in their right mind would look at an X-ray and see all kinds of things going wrong and say, "well, by His stripes I'm healed!"  That's just plain silly.  Or is it?   2. Whose report are you going to believe?     "For I Am the LORD, I change not." Malachi 3:6a   Reports change.  Diagnosis change.  God's Word never changes.  Are you going to put your faith in a man that has been trained by man, or are you going to believe Jesus who is God?  Now which report sounds silly to you?   Praying in doubt is praying in unbelief that God will not and can not do what you are asking Him to do.  Either you believe He can or you don't believe it.  Any reservations even the smallest, most tiny bit of doubt is still doubt.  It's like being a little pregnant.  You can't be a little pregnant.  Either you are expecting a baby or you aren't.  So either you really do believe or you don't.  Wanting to believe won't cut it with God.  He knows you want to believe, but He wants you to actually do it knowing He is God...the God who heals.   "...I Am the God who heals you." Exodus 15:26b   3. Pray with other believers.   Praying for one another not only is Biblical, but it really does work.  Another important key is to pray with believers who will stand in faith with you according to the Word of God, no matter what report is received.  People receive healing because of their faith in God and His Word.   Matthew 18:19 tells us about praying in agreement to the Word of God with other believers.   "Again I say unto you, that if two of you shall agree on earth as touching (the subject concerned) any thing that they shall ask, it shall (will) be done for them of My Father which is in Heaven."   Jesus continues to tell us in verse 20,   "For where two or more are gathered together in My name, there am I in the middle of them (agreeing)."   You don't  need hundreds or thousands of people to believe with you.  Jesus said, "two or more."  It is easier to agree with a few people on any matter, rather than trying to get an entire group to agree.  Right!   As a matter of fact, we make sure we don't tell a lot of people about something that has tried to come on us.   Why?  Because they often (in concern) panic when they hear a bad report and choose to believe the report rather than God.  When that happens, it is difficult for you to stand in faith when others around you aren't.  They may want to believe in faith with you, but as soon as they see something in the flesh that goes against what you are believing God for, they walk out of faith and you are the one in trouble!  Only share with believers who will walk by faith and not by sight!   Another point that I would like to share with you from the Word of God, is learning to pray preventiveness of sickness.  That's probably something you never heard!  I'm sure it's not even a word, but it does work nonetheless.   4. Pray for others that You will be healed.   It may seem like it's being selfish to pray for someone else to be healed so you can get healed, but when you do it, you are being obedient to the Word of God.   Think about it.  You may not be sick at the moment, but perhaps something will try to come on you in the future.  By praying for others when you know they are sick, you are taking a preventative medicine in prayer for guarding against you becoming sick.     There may be a time when you will need someone to say a prayer for you, and if you have never done it for someone else, why should they do it for you?  Praying for others keeps you healthy physically, mentally and spiritually.     "Confess your faults apologize to others when you have done them a wrong) to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed.  The effectual fervent consistent persistent prayer of the righteous (the saved only and in right standing with God as His child) man avails much (means much and is heard). James 5:16   Jesus went to the cross and died for your salvation, but that's not all He died for...He died so you could be healed and delivered from all sickness and disease.  You just have to believe He did it for you!  You are healed!  He took your sickness with the beatings (stripes) on the cross.  Jesus loved you so much that He took care of any sickness or disease that could or would come on us.   Believe Jesus when He said you are healed and receive what is rightfully yours as God's child.  Take your healing!  Take it on your body.  Speak to your body and tell it to line up with the Word of God and be healed.  We all talk to ourselves (be honest!), so why not talk belief!   "But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed." Isaiah 53:5   Believe God for your healing today.  Pray with others according to the Word of God.  Pray for others that YOU may receive your healing.  You are healed!   Believe when you pray...   "Heal me, O LORD and I will be healed; save me, and I will be saved: for You are my praise." Jeremiah 17:14   and you will be healed.
