| God has given every woman ever born the ability of working with her hands and feet. Our desire is that women realize their gifts from God and them use for His glory! We are Proverbs 31 Women of Creativity! |

| Covering in Plain View |
| by Cher Wandell |
| Scripture: (Psalm 32: 1,2,5) |
| It seems that no matter how clean our house is, women keep finding things that need to be cleaned. We cover up a blemished wall with a picture, and rearrange the furniture to cover a stain on the rug. You know you`ve done it! |
| If you were to remove all the furniture and take down all the pictures in the house, the imperfections in our homes would still be there. We could repaint the walls or change the carpet, but it wouldn`t be long before another corrupt thing happens to our home to repeat the never ending cycle of covering up the flaws. |
| The Bible tells us how King David realized that his transgressions and iniquity were things that needed to be covered. His prayer of repentance gave him a temporary covering for his sins. |
| “Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man to whom the LORD does not charge his account with iniquity (sin) and in whose spirit there is no deceit. I acknowledge my sin to You (LORD), and my iniquity have I not hidden (from You LORD), I said, I will confess my transgressions to the LORD,” and You forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah” (Psalm 32: 1,2,5) |
Note: |
Transgressions are sins that you commit once and ask God to forgive you. |
Iniquity is sin that you continue to do even though you know you should not do it. |
We can keep going through life looking for ways to cover our sins, but why cover them up when you can have them removed? It`s time to cut the mess out of our lives! Repent and Believe in God to forgive you for anything you have done that separates you from Him. Let the blood of Jesus cover you forever! |
| Do you know Jesus? You can by saying a prayer of salvation today. Pray now |

| There are more important things that I want to do than to always be cleaning. I`ve found that I have to get real with the way I am, and how I do things to actually cut the mess in my own life. Here are some things I really do that work for me. |

| When there is a shortage of storage space, covering or hiding things that are used isn`t always easy, but here are a few things you can do to keep the things you use often out of the way, but within reach. |
| 1) Pillow covers: Fill decorative pillow covers with extra throw blankets. They are right in place for when you need them, and can be put back in the case when done. |
| 2) Pillow protectors: Extra storage is as easy as looking at your linens. Use cotton standard size zippered pillow protectors to store blankets and comforters in to preserve the life of the item and keep them neatly folded. Use flowered or colored protectors different than the ones you use on your bed pillows so you can identify them as storage items, and not bed items that are in use. |
| 3) Pillow shams: Instead of buying all those extra pillows to decorate your bed, use the pillow shams to store extra blankets or linens and display them as usual. If you need an extra blanket, it`s already there in the room so you can put your closet to better use. |
| 4) File cabinets: Filing cabinets are no longer used just for paperwork. They are being used as decorative furniture to store extra toys, blankets etc. Your house stays straightened up and you have easy access to them without storing things in an attic or basement. |
| 5) Shoes: Storing shoes |
| under the bed isn`t always a good idea, and those metal racks don`t always work with odd sized shoes. There are other solutions! |

| Store flat shoes, slippers, purses, etc. in a tall plastic 8-10 drawer rollaway cart. It fits in closets or in any small corner of the room. They are available in most office product stores and will help you to stay organized. |

| How to Select Shoes |
| Let`s face it, no one actually “needs” 50 pairs of shoes. You need to make a choice and cut the mess! Here are some things to help you: |
| 1. When in doubt, throw it out. If you haven`t worn a pair of shoes in a year, you probably won`t wear them again. If the toes are curling up, it`s time to cut the mess! |
| 2. Keep your shoe selection under 10-15 pairs of shoes. |
| Selection choices: (Less is best) |
Open toe heel: in black, white |
Closed toe heel: black, white, navy blue |
Casual flat: black, tan/beige, blue |
Sneakers |
Specialty dress boot or shoe |
Snow boots/rain boots |
Slippers |
| 3. Make a habit of getting rid of a pair of shoes before you buy a new pair. Don`t buy a pair of shoes and then decide to get rid of a pair, because you won`t. |
